All businesses strive to attain a specific level as its primary milestone. The values,

mission, and vision are all crucial for effective and efficient day-to-day operations of a running

entity. A mission statement acts as the objective and a reason for business’ existence. On the

other hand, the vision is more of long-term goals and spells out an organization’s future

aspirations and how the entire team plans on fulfilling its mission. The mission, vision, and

values are guiding stars, propelling the actions and decisions of firms like Coca Cola towards

attaining their ultimate goal.

Coca Cola’s roadmap commences with an enduring mission that not only points the

multinational company’s purpose of operation, but also acts as an assessment against which it

weighs its management’s actions and decisions. Through its mission statement, the giant

corporation expresses its objectives in three lines. “To refresh the globe” and “ to inspire

moments of happiness and optimism” are lines that shows that Coca Cola is committed to

providing Sodas and other soft drinks refreshments that serves to fulfill human needs while still

generating positive value and making a difference (The Coca Cola Company, n.d.). The people

need refreshments and as a result, this aspect of mission statement demonstrates that Coca Cola

is committed at providing consumer goods. Nonetheless, the products are not spelt clearly, but

the purpose of production is widely known.

In comparison to Coca Cola’s mission statement, the company’s vision statement is

comprehensively spelled out. The six P’s of the vision statement guide the firm’s everyday

activities and outline every aspect of the organization. The vision statement is the back-bone of

the American-based company, and has been the guiding light to the fulfillment of milestones and

enabling of sustainable growth. The first Ps stand for the people (employees, employer,

customers, suppliers) and serves to establish a conducive working and shopping environment for all these categories of individuals. The second p represents the firm’s great diversity of products

that are all designed to fulfill human needs and wants.

The third P stands for partnership as the giant retailer and producer firm considers both

the suppliers and the customers as partners. The fourth P demonstrates the importance of the

planet and conservation of the eco-system hence signifying the company’s effort and

responsibility to preserve earth. The fifth and final Ps represents the business’ focus on attaining

profitability and sustainability. The company is conscious of its duty to fulfill the shareholders’

directives and hence has a visionary vision statement fit to run an agile and fast-moving

organization. Even though the vision statement clearly details on existing standards and duties,

the clause expounds less on the future goals of the company. The statement is however clear on

various performances, expectations, and treatment by various categories of stakeholders

including the employees, the clients, and the public.

Coca Cola exhibits excellent cultures and organizational behavior that is based on its

well-established work and ethical values (The Coca Cola Company, n.d). Irrespective of its

organizational values, the Coca Cola brand manifests its commitment to serve as a compass for

its’ overall actions. The company is founded on seven very critical value and these principles are

considered as the guiding principles to formation of strategies. These values entail leadership

(gives directives for the future), collaboration (supports collective performance), integrity and

accountability, realism, responsibility and commitment, diversity, and quality (The Coca Cola

Company, n.d.). In summary, Coca Cola’s vision and mission statements reveal a critical

concern and a need to fulfill their objectives for their stakeholders. In overall, the shared values

and the statements focus on profits, clients’ satisfaction, and instilling ethical responsibility.
